About Cà Spiga

Cetti Carlo was born in 1877 in Laglio, on the romantic side of lake Como.
The eldest of seven orphaned sons, he moved to Milan to find a job and keep his family.
He used to live in via della Spiga (nowadays known as one of the most famous and wealthy fashion districts all over the world… but not at that time!).
That is why, in his own village Laglio, he became to be named Cetti Carlo ‘Spiga’…
After many years we have decided to bring back to life this old and typical Lake Como country house with its most authentic and genuine touch.
The pastel colours, the furniture and the old tools used by our ancestors will take you into a journey back into a traditional house owned by a “laghé”, that’s how we call the inhabitants of our beautiful lake.

Alessandro & Andrea, Cetti Carlo “Spiga” great grandsons.

Ciao!

My name is Alessandro,
and together with my brother Andrea, I began my adventure in hospitality in 2011 by opening Cà Spiga. We have brought to life our grandmother’s ancient family home, a special place that speaks of times gone by and that we strive to carefully preserve.

My passion for travel and my curiosity to know new people and cultures, along with my desire to promote our region, have led me to embark on this beautiful and rewarding journey.

From a small bed and breakfast, we have become an Albergo Diffuso consisting of two residences in the ancient village of Torriggia. With eight lake-view rooms and our delicious breakfasts, I hope to make your stay unforgettable by introducing you to the true essence of Lake Como and its people.

Together with my staff, we will strive to make you feel at home.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Cà Spiga!

Salut!
